Legal
Terms of membership
The agreement between Troth and every member of the verified network — in plain language first, legal language after review.
1. What Troth is
Troth operates a private, application-only matchmaking network. Membership of the network is distinct from commissioning a matchmaking search: members become eligible to be introduced to clients who have commissioned a search; they are not buying matchmaking.
There are no public profiles, no browsing and no messaging. Introductions are made one-to-one by a matchmaker, and only when both parties consent.
2. Applications and admission
Admission is by application, verification and interview. Troth decides, at its discretion and with discretion, who enters the network. A declined application is not explained in detail, to protect everyone involved.
You must be at least 18 years old and single (not married and not in a relationship) to be accepted, and you confirm the accuracy of everything you submit.
3. Fees
Joining the network is free for women. Men pay a one-off verification and membership fee of €300 [exact figure at acceptance], charged only if the application is accepted. Matchmaking search tiers (Select, Signature, Private Client) are governed by a separate matchmaking service agreement — see the summary on the Matchmaking page and the Cancellation & renewal page.
There are no recurring charges, no pay-per-introduction and no pay-per-message — ever.
4. Member obligations
Members keep their information current, attend arranged introductions in good faith or decline them promptly, respect the confidentiality of every person they are introduced to, and comply with the Code of conduct.
A serious breach of the Code — dishonesty about identity or relationship status above all — ends membership immediately and without refund.
5. Confidentiality
Troth never publishes member profiles, never confirms or denies anyone's membership to third parties, and shares information only one introduction at a time, with consent. Members owe each other the same discretion.
6. Leaving
Members may pause or exit the network at any time by email. Data handling on exit — including the deletion schedule for identity documents — is described in the Privacy policy.
7. Liability and governing law
Troth guarantees the service, not the outcome: verification, search activity, qualified introductions, feedback and duration. Troth does not guarantee a relationship or marriage. [Liability caps, jurisdiction and governing-law clauses to be drafted by counsel for each launch jurisdiction.]
DRAFT — prepared for lawyer review across the three launch jurisdictions (Italy/EU, United Kingdom, UAE/Dubai). Figures, periods and addresses in brackets are placeholders to be confirmed.
